In April 2016, the Bioenergy Technologies Office [BETO] of the U.S. Department of Energy [DOE] sponsored a Bioenergy Study Tour that focused on production of woody pellets from the southeastern United States. Here, the four-day Tour explored how innovations supported by government and industry are enabling the deployment of a more sustainable bioeconomy.
